Monday is another scorcher in New Jersey, and News 12 New Jersey's Tony Caputo and Jim Murdoch talked to residents about how they are escaping the heat on this red-hot Monday.
"My parents live in Spring Lake, so they have a pool," says Sharon Mahoney, of Belmar. "They finally opened it a little early this year and the temperature in the pool is about 72. So, that's perfect."
If you're a fan of cooler weather, you should be getting some relief later in the week.
In Colts Neck, the sprayground at the Dorbrook Recreation Area was redone around five years ago, and the weather is not too bad if you're running through the spraying contraptions -- an option for people who don't want to deal with crowded pools or beaches.
"It's actually really nice,” says Lana Hosri, of Marlboro. “We have a pool in the backyard, but this gives the kids chance to do something different with other kids and socialize. This is like 10 minutes from our house. It's a great thing to have here."
It Is by reservation only and some families arrived as soon as the park opened this morning.
