A grand jury voted not to file criminal charges against two Woodbridge police officers involved in a non-fatal shooting last year.
Officials say the officers responded to a car dealership in June 2023 where they found Juan Martinez inside a parked Dodge Ram.
Officials say Martinez refused to get out and that a black SUV showed up at the scene. Martinez jumped into that SUV, according to authorities, and both officers fired shots at him. He was hit three times.
Martinez was treated and the hospital and charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.
The officers said they feared for their lives. The grand jury declared the shooting was justified.
