An Atlantic City man has pleaded guilty to drug distribution and firearms charges and is expected to be sentenced to 10 years in state prison with five years of parole ineligibility, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Trevon Drinks, 32, pleaded guilty Monday to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and methamphetamine and illegally possessing a firearm because of his prior convictions.
The charges stem from a June 2025 incident in which Atlantic City police went to a North Carolina Avenue home after receiving a report that Drinks had threatened to shoot his mother, prosecutors said. Prosecutors said police also learned that Drinks had threatened his sister.
Police obtained a search warrant and found more than 21 grams of methamphetamine, more than 28 grams of cocaine and more than 29 grams of fentanyl, along with a loaded 9 mm Sig Sauer P320 handgun and a high-capacity magazine, according to prosecutors.
Drinks had prior drug distribution convictions that prohibited him from possessing a firearm.
Drinks remains held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending sentencing, which is scheduled for Oct. 27.
