'We can get a deal done.' Gov. Murphy, NJ Transit CEO provide strike update

Gov. Phil Murphy and NJ Transit CEO Kris Kolluri provided an update on NJ Transit engineers strike, saying state officials are "holding the line" for future administrations. Kolluri said they will aim to "solve problems as they appear." Kolluri added that NJ Transit is "finally on stable financial footing" but now dealing with an "existential" problem as the union seeks higher wages.
"This doesn't have to be rocket science," Kolluri said. "We can get a deal done."
Kollorui said they are looking to get to a deal with the union that is fair and responsible.
The engineers union also provided an update Friday morning, saying it thought a deal was close prior to the deadline.
