Commuters are getting back on track as NJ Transit train service resumes this morning.
This was the first NJ Transit strike in over 40 years.
The strike started on Friday and ended Sunday evening, lasting about three days.
NJ Transit and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen came to a tentative agreement on Sunday. The details of that deal reached are still not public.
NJ Transit needed Monday to inspect the trains and infrastructure, so their contingency plan was used by adding four Park & Ride locations.
