A Web site to help New Jersey residents track how the state is spending federal stimulus funds has virtually no useful information, says a state senator.
"It's like reading the telephone book. It's not timely. You can't navigate it," says Sen. Joe Pennacchio (R-Morris). "It doesn't tell you what the projects are. It doesn't tell you what projects are being considered."
The Corzine administration says the Web site is a work in progress and it hopes to improve it over time. But critics argue that other states such as Wisconsin had an equal amount of time to set up their own Web sites and did a better job.
