One young woman was killed and another wounded in a shooting that took place hours after an anti-violence rally in Trenton.Authorities say the girls were walking on West State Street around 11 p.m. Wednesday when they were shot. The suspect ran off after firing the shots near the intersection at Fisher Place, according to police.
Shanel Brady, 17, was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. Shakita Pempleton, 19, remains in stable condition.
Sources say both teenagers were known gang members. Investigators are trying to determine whether the shootings were gang related.
