Former New Jersey elementary school teacher charged with sexually assaulting multiple students

The Monmouth County prosecutor says a former teacher at an elementary school in Long Branch has been charged with sexually assaulting multiple elementary school children.

The Monmouth County prosecutor says a former teacher at an elementary school in Long Branch has been charged with sexually assaulting multiple elementary school children.
Gustavo Barrientos, 53, of Tinton Falls, was arrested last month after allegedly showing a 10-year-old female student pornography, and sexually assaulting her on multiple occasions. The incident happened during his time as an elementary school teacher in the Long Branch School District. Police did not reveal which school.
It's unknown exactly how many other children Barrientos is accused of assaulting. Police did not reveal the children's ages or locations.
Authorities say he also previously worked at Red Bank Charter School.
