Authorities say a 22-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning in an Ocean County fire.

Flames were reported at about 6 a.m. at a group home on Route 9 in the Pleasant Plains section of Toms River. Toms River Police Chief Mike Mastronardy says there were 13 men inside the home when the fire broke out.

Officials are not releasing the victim's name until his identity is confirmed by the medical examiner and his family is notified.
