Father pleads guilty to having been intoxicated in crash that killed 1-year-old daughter
A father has pleaded guilty to having been intoxicated when he crashed on Route 55 in Gloucester County, killing his 1-year-old daughter.
According to reports, Leroy Iglesia, 34, pleaded guilty back on Dec. 5 to second-degree vehicular homicide and driving under the influence in the Oct. 9 crash.
Authorities said Iglesia was driving south on the highway when his minivan ran off the side of the road and struck two trees, killing Elowen Iglesia.
Prosecutors say they will recommend a five-year prison term with a requirement Iglesia serve 85% of that term before being eligible for parole.
