Falling ice closes part of the George Washington Bridge
Falling ice caused a portion of the George Washington Bridge to be closed for a time Wednesday.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the agency that operates the bridge, closed several lanes on the upper level of the bridge in order to remove icicles.
Drivers were urged to use the lower level of the bridge.
All lanes were open by Wednesday night.
