Elizabeth veteran injured in combat gifted free car

A U.S. Army specialist from Elizabeth is now riding in style — and for free.

James Barbosa served in Afghanistan for four years, where he was injured in combat and honorably discharged in 2013.

In honor of his bravery, Wells Fargo sponsored the donation of a new Jeep Renegade to Barbosa from the Transportation 4 Heroes program. The program helps vets injured in combat transition back into civilian life.

Transportation 4 Heroes has given more than 145 payment-free cars to veterans to date.
