The resort in the Dominican Republic where a woman from Delaware says she was beaten unconscious is temporarily closing due to low occupancy.
According to Majestic's Punta Cana resort, it has lost thousands of visitors since stories of American tourists dying or being seriously injured became public earlier this year.
The resort will close Thursday with plans to reopen in November.
Tammy Lawrence-Daley, 51, says she was beaten and strangled multiple times to unconsciousness at the resort.
