A dispute between two men near Fairleigh Dickinson University prompted a shelter in place order after it was believed that one of the men was armed.
Officials say that the Teaneck Police Department responded to a call about the dispute near the campus. One of the men chased the other through the FDU campus.
The shelter in place was ordered because it was believed that one of the men had a gun. Officials say it was done as a precautionary measure.
Officials say that the incident did not originate on campus and did not involve any students.
No arrests were made, and no injuries were reported.
The shelter in place has since been lifted.
