Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis is calling the new ferry service out of Bayonne an economic game changer for his city.
Long term, he even sees a hotel. But first, the council is in the process of approving a $6 million bond that will allow the purchase of land from the Port Authority at the New Jersey Marine Terminal, where a terminal would then be built.
The mayor believes the 11-minute ferry ride into New York City will be beneficial for everyone.
