A body found strangled to death last week in a bag under a Bronx bridge was identified Tuesday as a Bayonne woman.

Police say a road-cleaning crew found the body of 36-year-old Christie Neely under the Fieldstone Bridge on the southbound Henry Hudson Parkway Saturday. The medical examiner said Neely had been strangled and ruled her death a homicide.

Police released photos of Neely?s clothing and jewelry, as well as a sketch, to identify her. Investigators say someone recognized the images and called police.

Investigators searched Neely?s West 29th Street apartment that she shared with her teenage son and boyfriend for clues in her death. Police are now looking for Neely?s boyfriend, who they are calling a person of interest.
