The United States Coast Guard says it now knows where the tar balls that washed up at the Jersey Shore came from.

Officials say that Vane Brothers Company – a commercial boating service – is to blame. They say an oil spill happened during a transfer at an oil facility on Nov. 22 in Bayonne.

Cleanup efforts and the investigation continue this week to make sure there are no more pollutants in the water or on the beaches.
