The state is suing a scrap metal recycling company this morning after several fires at a junkyard in Camden.

Officials said more than a dozen fires have occurred in recent years at properties owned by European Metal Recycling.

The lawsuit claims the company continues to poorly store materials that create a high fire risk and refuses to fix the problem.

Officials said the fires have forced people out of their homes and caused injuries.
