A bullet found at a school in Franklin Township caused students to “shelter in place.”
The single, small caliber bullet was found Wednesday around 12:30 p.m. on the floor of a hallway at the Sampson G. Smith School.
Officials conducted an extensive search of the school, but found no additional bullets or weapons.
The school remained in a "shelter in place" status while the search was conducted.
It was lifted around 2:15 p.m. and students were released for the day.
No arrests have been made.
