The city of Bridgeton will honor a young girl who has been missing for two years with a special holiday tree lighting.
The family of Dulce Alavez will gather with supporters to decorate and light a Christmas tree. The ceremony will take place on Dec. 18.
The theme of this year’s tree is based on the movie “Frozen.” Dulce’s mother says that this was her favorite movie.
The 5-year-old went missing in September 2019 while playing in Bridgeton City Park with her younger brother. It is believed that she was taken.
A $75,000 reward has been offered for information about her disappearance.
