The Chatham School District held a bone marrow screening Saturday to help a 5-year-old girl from Summit who was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia.
The girl, Jackie, is the daughter of Chatham High School's special education teacher Brian Erb.
Potential donors were invited to the high school, where a teacher helped organize the event with the Chatham Education Association PRIDE Committee and Be the Match.
COVID-19 protocols were in place during the event. Potential donors didn't even have to leave their cars to participate.
