7h agoA woman was fatally struck by an SUV while walking her dog Friday night in Newark, according to police.
Authorities say 40-year-old Stephanie Munoz was crossing Clifton Avenue around 10:30 p.m. when the vehicle hit her.
The area has a 25-mph speed limit and is a no passing zone. Witnesses told police that they saw the driver speeding on the wrong side of the road.
Police say the driver remained at the scene and did not appear to be under the influence.
