A boil water advisory in effect for parts of Edison due to a water main break has been lifted.
Officials say the break happened Wednesday night into Thursday morning on Oak Tree Road in front of the YMCA and the Jewish Community Center.
Oak Tree Road is now open from Ventnor Drive to Farmhaven Avenue. The YMCA and community center are without water. This caused the cancellation of numerous events and activities on Thursday.
First responders on the scene told News 12 that the nearby senior center did still have water.
Middlesex Water Company is still making repairs to the water main damage.
Any customers who have questions about the advisory are urged to call 1-800-549-3802.
