Portobello, a restaurant in Oakland, Bergen County, is now closing outdoor dining by 4 p.m. every afternoon for a month after pictures of people packed at their outdoor bar the night before Thanksgiving were shared online.
Oakland's Mayor Linda Schwager says the bar was more than just crowded -- things got violent.
"Apparently, it was hundreds and hundreds of young people drinking in the parking lot, being disorderly,” says Mayor Schwager. “There was a fight broken out, and at one point, the security guard or slash bouncer called the police, very late, and somebody claimed they saw a gun."
The restaurant's owner will have to meet with the council before the restrictions are lifted.
