County SWAT team into action.
Police surrounded a home on the
300 block of Clarendon Street, where a woman was reportedly being held hostage
by her boyfriend in the basement apartment
According to police, the suspect was said to be armed and suffering from
mental illness, but it was unclear if he was actually inside the home or in a
car nearby.
Police eventually tracked
down the boyfriend in Bayonne, where he was arrested.
The SWAT team found the
victim with minor injuries.
