All charges were dropped Thursday against a suspected accomplice in the 2005 murder of a Jersey City family.
Police say no physical evidence connects Hamilton Sanchez to the Armanious family murder case or to the man responsible, Edward McDonald.
Sanchez was held for nearly four years without being brought to trial. However, he won't be freed yet due to a federal retainer that's being held against him.
Four Armanious family members were stabbed multiple times in their Oakland Avenue home. The four were bound and gagged with duct tape before being murdered. The murders were part of a botched robbery.
McDonald is serving a 300-year prison sentence for the deaths.
