The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General has released surveillance video from a deadly crash involving a police cruiser in Middletown.

The incident happened on Oct. 10, 2025, at the intersection of Orchard Avenue and Route 36.

Henry Phillips, Jr., 73, was riding an e-bike when he collided with a police cruiser driven by Atlantic Highlands Police Officer Tim Funk, while Funk was making a right turn at a red light.

Phillips was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He died nine days later.
