A Point Pleasant man has been arrested in connection with a series of swastika graffiti incidents in Asbury Park earlier this month, according to police.
29-year-old Austin Gaekler is charged with four counts each of criminal mischief and bias intimidation, Asbury Park police said.
Officials previously said that swastikas and lightning bolts were discovered at three locations in Asbury Park over two days.
Police said graffiti was found outside the Mercy Center at 901 Main St. on Aug. 4 and at a 7-Eleven at 1509 Main St. and an electrical panel box near Fourth Avenue and Memorial Drive the following day.
Police now say a fourth incident was reported in the 300 block of Memorial Drive and was included in the charges against Gaekler.
