A police officer shot and killed a man Monday afternoon in the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge after responding to a call about a dispute, according to the state Office of the Attorney General.
Officials say that police officers responded to the call on Woodland Avenue just after 3 p.m.
Details about the encounter were unclear. The man, who was not named, was pronounced dead at 4:47 p.m.
The name of the officer who fired the shot was not provided.
