6 more Lake Hopatcong beaches cleared to reopen

The state Department of Environmental Protection says six more beaches at Lake Hopatcong are back open after bacteria levels show low enough levels to safely swim.

The state Department of Environmental Protection says six more beaches at Lake Hopatcong are back open after bacteria levels show low enough levels to safely swim.
The list of beaches reopened include Pebble Beach, Sand Harbor, Bass Rock Beach, Sperry Springs Beach, Beck Lane Beach and CAPP Beach.
The beaches are located from Byram Bay to Halsey Island in the lake's northwest quarter.
Byram Bay Community Club Beach and Clearwater Beach remain closed to swimming.
