(AP) - Newark police have identified a secondsuspect in a shootout that left a 4-year-old girl wounded.
Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding 32-year-oldCurtis Daniels.
Police Director Garry McCarthy said Daniels exited a car andexchanged gunfire with another person outside an apartment complexTuesday afternoon.
It isn't known whether Daniels fired the shot that hit the4-year-old, who suffered a bullet wound to her lower torso.
Newark Mayor Cory Booker said Friday he visited the girl atUniversity Hospital and that she is stabilized but faces a longrecovery.
Daniels was released from prison in 2002 after serving less thansix years of a 21-year sentence for manslaughter.
One arrest has already been made in the shooting.
