A Pennsylvania police officer is facing charges in the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man who was preparing to attend Saint Elizabeth University and join its baseball team.
Saint Elizabeth University identified the student as Glenwood Pysher IV, an incoming student-athlete who was set to attend the Morris County school.
Corporal Sean Farrell is accused of fatally shooting Pysher in Upper Pottsgrove Township, Pennsylvania.
Pysher had gone to the wrong house after a night of drinking, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors said Pysher was unarmed and had his hands raised when he was shot twice.
Police had responded to a report of a possible break-in at the home.
Saint Elizabeth University confirmed Pysher had been preparing to enroll at the school and join the baseball team.
Farrell now faces charges in connection with the shooting, prosecutors said.
