A Freehold teen has admitted he tried to kill a woman in a stabbing at a Jackson apartment complex.
Jaden Thompson, 19, pleaded guilty Monday to attempted murder.
The victim was stabbed at the Paragon Apartments in November 2025, according to authorities.
Police said a toddler was nearby during the incident but was not injured.
Thompson later fled from police in Edison, authorities said.
Police said he crashed his vehicle before being taken into custody.
Thompson is scheduled to be sentenced in October.
He faces up to 10 years in prison.
