Overnight fire engulfs Franklin Township businesses, forcing road detours

A fire destroyed numerous businesses and damaged others in Franklin Township, leaving heavy damage behind.
The blaze broke out early this morning at the Tropical Food Market and 99 Cent Plus store on Hamilton Street.
Flames quickly engulfed the building as firefighters responded and worked save other businesses. There is also a laundromat and a tattoo parlor in the strip mall.
Crews remain on scene putting out hot spots and making sure the fire doesn't reignite.
Officials have not yet said if anyone was injured. There is also no word yet on what caused the fire.
Detours are in place on and around Hamilton Street as emergency crews continue their work.
