News 12 has obtained video showing the moments before and after a deadly crash on Route 37 in Toms River earlier this year.

The March 7 crash happened just before 11 p.m. following a high-speed chase. Evan Fiore, 23, and Kiley Armstrong, 21, were killed when their vehicle was struck by a white BMW traveling over 100 mph.

Video released by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office shows the chase and cellphone video from inside the BMW. That cellphone video appears to show one of the occupants encouraging the driver to “floor it.” Police bodycam video shows the officers arriving at the scene of the crash shortly after.

The black Toyota that the victims were riding in was flipped on its side with smoke pouring out. Officers are seen running to the BMW and arresting those people inside.

Another officer is seen running over to the Toyota. Inside were Fiore, Armstrong, Armstrong’s twin sister and the sister’s boyfriend.

Back at the BMW, a person in a dark hoodie appears to admit being the driver. He is placed inside a police car.

Officials say the driver was Carlos Martinez, who was 17 years old at the time of the crash.

Martinez, now 18, was charged as an adult. He is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and aggravated assault. He has been ordered to remain in jail because he has been ruled a flight risk.

Two additional passengers inside the BMW were also charged. Jake Beauchamp, 20, and Ryan Rivera, 18, face multiple charges, including vehicular homicide, hindering prosecution and suppressing evidence.

Martinez is due back in court next week.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the case due to a conflict of interest with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. A high-ranking member of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office is related to the victims.
