New Rochelle police are investigating a fiery car crash that left a teenager dead.
According to investigators, it happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Golden Horseshoe Shopping Center.
It's unclear what caused the crash or who was involved.
The crash left damage to an area near the entrance of the shopping center.
The victim was a student at Iona Preparatory School, which issued a statement that reads in part, "Iona Preparatory School was saddened to learn that a member of last year's sophomore class was killed in a tragic car accident earlier this morning."
The school also offered prayers to the teen's friends and family and will also provide grief counseling to classmates and other parents who may need it.
