Attorney General’s Office investigating fairness of boardwalk games at the Jersey Shore
Inspectors are taking a closer look at many of the boardwalk games at the Jersey Shore to make sure they are not rigged.

New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin and game inspectors are taking a closer look at many of the boardwalk games at the Jersey Shore.
They visited the boardwalk at Seaside Heights to look and make sure everything - from the fairness and skill of the games to ticket counters and grand prizes - are all following state rules and regulations.
Lucky Leo's arcade owner Steve Whalen says having these annual inspections is a good thing.
"You would encourage it just to keep your competitors in line with what you are doing," Whalen said.
Last summer, inspectors at games from Wildwood to Keansburg found more than 130 violations. The fines totaled more than $30,000, including a singular $15,000 fine in Wildwood for overinflated basketballs. The operator at Wildwood Boards also lost her license for 10 years.
