19-year-old injured last weekend in Newark shooting has died

A 21-year-old woman and 10-year-old Jordan Garcia were also killed in the shooting. A balloon release will be held at Saint Peters Park in Newark at 5 p.m. Monday in memory of Rogers.

A 19-year-old injured during last weekend's shooting in Newark has died, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office says. A 21-year-old woman and 10-year-old Jordan Garcia were also killed in the shooting.

It happened just after 7 p.m. Saturday near Chancellor Avenue and Leslie Street.

The latest victim, identified as Masi Rogers, died on Thursday. He was listed in critical condition after the shooting occurred.

A balloon release will be held at Saint Peters Park in Newark at 5 p.m. Monday in memory of Rogers.

A suspect has not been arrested and there is a $10,000 reward for information leading to arrests.
