Yonkers pastor dies from coronavirus

Scott Elijah was the pastor of the Bethany African Methodist Episcopal Church.

A Yonkers pastor, who made his living as a New York City subway track worker, has died from the coronavirus.
Scott Elijah was the pastor of the Bethany African Methodist Episcopal Church. He was also an MTA employee for the last 15 years
In a Facebook post last week, Elijah wrote he was tested for the coronavirus at a local health clinic and encouraged his friends who felt ill to do the same.
Elijah is the third MTA employee to die from the virus.
The Transport Workers Union Local 100 made the announcement on social media.
