Jose Polit, a nearby neighbor, spoke with News 12 New Jersey and said he fears the worst possible news. He confirmed a man and his mother live inside the home.
"So, I heard that Charlie who lives there was able to get out, but I don’t think his mom made it," Polit said.
Polit says the house was on fire around 2 a.m., according to footage from his door camera.
“It was horrible and engulfing, and on the other side of the house was the electrical and it was sparking," he said.
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Thomas Ratajczak, of the Woodbridge Police Department, at 732-634-7700 or Det. Rosario, of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, at 732-745-3289.
