A Woodbridge nightclub turned into a crime scene after riots broke out again Saturday night, and the mayor is trying to permanently shut it down.
Woodbridge police are standing guard outside Studio 9 after more than 50 fights broke out. They say they had to call eight surrounding police departments to get the situation under control.
Mayor John McCormac says there have been problems at the club from the start, including violence and underage drinking. He says the problems have gotten out of control in the last week.
The owner of the club was scheduled to see the city council for a hearing regarding other issues Tuesday before this week?s violence. It remains to be seen whether more recent events will be discussed. Mayor McCormac says the township attorney will be back in court Monday to try to shut the club down for good.
