A woman was struck and killed by a commuter train Sunday morning in Ramsey, authorities said.

The incident occurred at about 10:49 a.m. when a Port Jervis Line train hit an adult female trespasser just west of the Main Street crossing near the Ramsey station, according to NJ Transit.

Train 74 had departed Port Jervis at 8:57 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 11:24 a.m. Officials said about 150 passengers and crew members were on board at the time, and no injuries were reported.

Rail service on the line was temporarily suspended in both directions between Allendale and Port Jervis following the incident. Service has since resumed but with delays of up to 30 minutes, officials said.
