For the first time in four years, there's been a murder in the quiet town of Cranford in Union County. Police say a woman was killed by her boyfriend in the home they shared on Retford Avenue. According to police, 45-year-old Mary Ellen Touris was found on her basement floor with severe head trauma on Sunday night. On Monday morning, Cranford police arrested 44-year-old Christopher Pessolano at a motel in Springfield. Pessalano who is scheduled to be transferred to the Union County Jail is being held on $750,000 bail.
