Wind Alert: Strong gusts persist across NJ to knock out power, create crosswinds, and damage tree limbs

Gusts peak near 30-50 mph from the west/northwest after the rain.

Windy conditions are expected to last for the next two days, and breezy weather persists after the weekend. As winds blow across NJ today, temperatures respond slowly but only fall into the lower 50s for the afternoon and evening especially.
There is a WIND ADVISORY in effect for New Jersey from 3 p.m. today to 6 p.m. tomorrow as gusts peak near 30-50mph.
Tonight's low temperatures will be in the lower 30s before rebounding back to the low 50s again for Friday afternoon.
Friday is sunny, but very windy with strong gusts across the state. This will eventually calm down by late Friday evening.
The weekend is nice, with sun and clouds and highs in the upper 40s.
There is not a big chance for rain looking at the next 5-7 days as storms skirt around the area only sending up wind and clouds.
A warmup is in sight for midweek next week as temperatures can surge well into the 60s for Tuesday and Wednesday.
