Fire crews say they've made great progress in containing a Saturday wildfire in the area of Little Egg Harbor Township.
The New Jersey Forest Fire Service wrote on Twitter that it had made "substantial progress" fighting the Log Swamp wildfire, which was at 60% containment as of late Saturday night.
The fire covered an estimated 1,607 acres and has closed down Route 539 between Forge Road and the Town of Warren Grove.
The rain hitting other parts of the region has made little difference in the area of the fire.
