News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says parts in North Jersey could see snow, rain or a wintry mix.

WHAT'S NEW: Tracking a system coming in from the west. The clouds will arrive first and then some snow showers with wintry mix showers Sunday morning. It will take a little while for the atmosphere to moisten up, so the radar may pick up snow or rain before it falls to the ground.

WHAT'S NEXT: Temps will be seasonably cool. Showers will pick up through the Sunday afternoon and early Sunday evening. Snow possible up north and from I-78-80. Accumulations mainly north of I-80. Rain snow line may bounce around a bit Sunday afternoon.

Ending as some snow showers, with a low that develops offshore overnight and into early Monday morning.

Anything wet or slushy could become slippery overnight into Monday morning as temperatures fall to freezing or below, especially up north.

WHAT'S NEXT: Tracking another storm system for the end of the week. Focus is Thursday through Friday. Could be rain/mix at this point. Looks stronger and windy.

OVERNIGHT: Cloudy with snow moving in for the morning in NW NJ. Lows around freezing.

SUNDAY: Snow in NW NJ, rain in central and south NJ. Snow will stick only on cold surfaces with light accumulations possible in NW NJ. Highs around 40 and lows around freezing.

MONDAY: Lingering snow shower, mix or rain along the Shore and in south NJ, will clear in the p.m. Highs around 40 and lows in the 20s.

TUESDAY: Sunny sky. Highs around 40 and lows in the 20s.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny with highs around 40 and lows around 30.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance of a rain/snow mix. Highs around 40 and lows in the 30s.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with a rain/snow mix possible. Highs around 40 and lows around freezing.

SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with highs around 40 and lows in the 30s.
