New Jersey residents should expect to see warmer temperatures this week, with temperatures potentially reaching 70 by Friday.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says the Garden State will have to first deal with some rainy weather and cooler temperatures for a time.
Tuesday night will see cloudy skies for the evening, followed by cloudy skies for the overnight hours. There is a slight chance for a little bit of rain. Overnight lows will be around 36 degrees.
Wednesday will see mostly sunny skies, with daytime highs warming into the mid-60s. Some clouds will develop by the evening hours, with mostly cloudy skies by the overnight. Lows will cool into the mid-40s.
Thursday is expected to see rain for most of the day. Temperatures will be slightly cooler in the mid-50s. Partly cloudy skies are expected by the evening, with a little bit more rain. Overnight lows will be around 46 degrees.
Friday is expected to see partly cloudy skies with high temperatures reaching into the upper-60s and low-70s for parts of the state. Rain is expected to develop by Friday night, with overnight lows around 50 degrees.
