The skies remained mostly clear for the first day of July in New Jersey, but clouds are beginning to move in.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says isolated thunderstorms are possible into the evening hours.
Wednesday saw high temperatures in the mid-80s, but temperatures are expected to cool during the overnight hours.
Thursday should see mostly sunny skies with temperatures reaching the mid-80s.
Clouds are expected to develop Friday, bringing a chance of rain.
The skies should mostly clear for Saturday, making way for Fourth of July celebrations.
