A water main break in Harding caused some issues for commuters and local businesses Friday morning.
Crews spent most of the day making repairs in the southbound lane of Route 202 north of Maple Avenue.
People who work in the area tell News 12 New Jersey that the issues started late Thursday morning when some businesses lost water. That service has since been restored for most, while others were not impacted at all.
“We really didn't see anything. Some of our customers came in just saying that they lost water and their business shut for the day and they came in for lunch and a coffee and off they went,” says Carol Mottes, of Priscilla’s Pantry.
Route 202 has been limited to one lane in the area, which is causing some traffic delays.
American Water Company says service has been restored to all but one customer. Work is expected to continue into the evening.
