Several Morris County residents were left with costly car repairs after fueling up at a gas station in Newfoundland.
According to the Morris County Office of Weights and Measures, water seeped into the underground gas tank of the Delta Station on Route 23 south in town, fouling the gas supply.
Jefferson police received at least 10 reports of stalled cars and traced the problem to the station. It was then shut down.
One victim who spoke to News 12 New Jersey says the damage to her car will cost nearly $1,000.
The problem has been fixed and the station has been reopened.
The gas station business manager says the station's insurance will pay for everyone's repairs.
